Frequently Asked Questions
What vaccines are required?
For the safety of all of our guests we require the following vaccines:
  • Rabies
  • Distemper or Distemper Titer
  • Bordetella (kennel cough)
  • Canine Flu - Recommended, but not required.  Please discuss with your vet.
Due to recent changes in the Indiana Veterinary Practice Act, we no longer will contact your vet for vaccine information. You are responsible for providing this information to us via email, fax or postal mail prior to your pet's visit with us.

Do you require my greyhound to be on a flea preventative?
We do not require, however we highly recommend that you have your greyhound on a grey-safe flea preventative.  We strive to maintain a flea free resort and in the event your grey arrives with fleas, you will be charged $20 per Capstar treatment.

In an emergency, what veterinary clinic will you use?

Should your pet require veterinary attention during their stay at the Greyhound Resort, every effort will be made to use your veterinarian first. In the event that your vet is not available, we reserve the right to seek proper medical attention from the vet of our choice.  Our preferred clinics are the
Broad Ripple Animal Clinic or the Companion Animal Medical Center (24hr).  You, the owner, are solely responsible for any charges incurred.

What do I need to bring?

You may bring anything that you think will make your dog more comfortable!

We recommend that you bring:

  • Food - this will help lessen the chances of an upset stomach from an immediate food switch.
  • Medications
  • Babies, other toys, etc.
We provide:
  • Comfortable Double Layer Fleecy Bedding
  • Bowls
  • Treats
  • Food
We feed Precise Plus Adult for anyone who stays with us that does not have their own food.

Will my greyhound be let out to play with others?

Yes. We evaluate personalities then we typically allow small groups (3-4 dogs) to play together. If you prefer for your greyhound not to play with others, we can let him or her out individually.

Will my greyhound be supervised during playtime?

Yes. We are always out with the dogs supervising and giving extra attention!

What is the schedule for feeding and playtime?

Feedings are done twice a day, generally at 6:30am & 6:30pm.

Playtime is four to five times a day. Approximate times are: 6am, 10am, 3pm, 6pm and 9pm.

Are there extra charges for playtime, administering of medication or special diet needs?

No.

What form of payment do you accept?

Cash, Check, Visa and MasterCard. Balance must be paid in full when checking out your hound.

Can I call or text you to see how my dog is doing?
